BT Partners is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization that works to effect lasting change in the lives of poor people in developing countries. BT Partners believes that:
- The solutions to poverty must come from people who live it, through a true understanding of their own potential, strengths and resources.
- The sharing of knowledge and ideas by ordinary citizens across national and ethnic barriers is a powerful force with the potential to bring about innovative solutions, and nurture deep understanding of the causes behind disease, inequality, limited access to education, poor livelihoods, and environmental degradation- all conditions for severe poverty.
- It is every community’s right to self-determination. That means, with the equal participation of its members, communities must be free to decide how best to care for their citizens based on shared values, aspirations, and long term sustainability, without a prescribed formula for development.
BT Partners was founded in 2009 and is headquartered in Brooklyn, NY and has programs in Haiti.

BT Partners is accountable to those who support it and to its partner communities; and is therefore committed to maintaining the strictest standards of financial and internal controls.
